In the aftermath of Ferguson, we in the medical community seek to look inward at the existence and persistence of racism in healthcare. Join us Tuesday September 9th at 5:30pm for the next CHAT (Community Health and Advocacy Talks) as we welcome Dr. Stephen Nelson, a pediatric hematologist out of Children’s Hospital, for a discussion on racism in medicine.
CHAT presentations are open to the public and held in the evenings on the second Tuesday of every month at UROC (Urban Research and Outreach Center) 2001 North Plymouth Avenue Minneapolis, MN 55411.
Each CHAT session consists of:
- 5.30 – 6 pm – light dinner/snacks, meet & greet
- 6 – 7 pm – presentation
- 7 – 7.30 pm – networking
RSVP recommended (but not required) to firstname.lastname@example.org.
