We’re very pleased to announce that the next in our series of Community Health and Advocacy Talks (CHAT) on Tuesday, December 9th, will be presented by Elder Mahmoud El-Kati, Professor Emeritus of History at Macalester College: “Bad for Our Health: the Doctrine of White Supremacy.”

We’re also very enthused that this month’s CHAT, held as usual and open to the public at the UROC in North Minneapolis (please join us!), will also be broadcast live on local North Minneapolis station KMOJ 89.9 FM!

CHAT presentations are open to the public and held in the evenings on the second Tuesday of every month at the UROC (Urban Research and Outreach Center) – 2001 North Plymouth Avenue Minneapolis, MN 55411.

Each CHAT session consists of:

  • 5.30- 6 pm – light dinner/snacks, meet & greet
  • 6 – 7 pm – presentation
  • 7-7.30 pm – networking

RSVP recommended (but not required) to chatmpls@gmail.com.

Can’t attend in person but want to follow live-tweeting of the presentation or join the conversion? Follow @chatmpls on Twitter and chime in!

We also welcome suggestions for topics and speakers – email chatmpls@gmail.com with your ideas.
